With
a lifetime of fishing experience growing up in
Florida, I established an understanding of the
local waters. As a young boy I found a passion
for fishing in the local ponds and lakes in South
Florida for large mouth and peacock bass. As the
years went by snook and tarpon became my main
target on the shallow flat's of South Florida.
Moving to the Space Coast I found paradise. The
waters around Titusville and Cocoa Beach have
some of the world's best inshore fishing for redfish,
trout, snook, and tarpon. After countless hours
on the lagoons I acquired the skills and patience
to target big fish on light tackle with my clients.
I have been a fulltime fishing Guide for the past
five years on the Mosquito
Lagoon and Indian
River Lagoon. As a fulltime Captain I have
guided many clients of all skill levels to trophy
fish on the Space Coast. Whether it's sight fishing
for big redfish and trout on the shallow water
flats, or working a top water plug down a mangrove
line for big snook and tarpon. I know where these
fish like to hide. When I am not guiding I am
constantly looking for new fishing areas and learning
about fish patterns and behaviors.
Captain
Shawn runs a custom built 16 foot flat's skiff
with a 60 HP Evinrude E-Tec outboard engine. This
flats skiff is able to reach the skinniest waters
of the Mosquito
lagoon, floating in as little as four inches
of water, while cutting the chop off of the near
shore waters. The shallow draft on the boat allows
us access to the shallow waters necessary to effectively
sight fish for redfish, snook, trout, and tarpon.
The boat holds up to two passengers and myself
comfortably. The skiff is Coast Guard Equipped
and loaded with everything you need to get you
there and back in comfort--quickly, dry, and most
importantly, safely. Anglers first notice the
large casting deck, and stability of the skiff.
The boat was designed with comfort, speed and
safety in mind. It draws very little water, has
360° of fishing room and has no problems getting
you into those extremely shallow "skinny
water" flats where the "big girls"
hide.
